    *I’ve been training with Gary now for a while and when I first started I was quite unsure whether I was doing the right thing, as I’m 61! Gary has been extremely encouraging and supportive. I have trouble with one of my knees so Gary asked me to see a Doctor first to ensure we would not be doing any damage then he adapted the training to suit me. I’m finding it challenging but I also enjoy it too. I would definitely encourage people of my age to use Gary for personal training.

  • I am now training for the Bristol and Cardiff half marathons

    *After returning from travelling, I gained a stone of weight, since starting training with Lucy, I have lost the weight and got into shape. I achieved my goal of running a sub 45 minute 10k, and I am now training for the Bristol and Cardiff half marathons.

  • Lucy made me feel comfortable straight away

    *I used to use every excuse to try and get out of doing exercise. I had been working away from home for 3 years, living on hotel food and generally being very lazy. I realised something had to change when my sister was 3 months pregnant and still lighter than me! At first I was nervous, I hated exercising in front of people and felt very self-conscious. But Lucy made me feel comfortable straight away and after a few sessions I instantly started seeing improvements. The sessions that we did together were actually fun, which I wasn’t expecting, and varied enough so that I didn’t get bored and wanted to keep going. Lucy also helped me with food planning which I really enjoyed. After 7 months I had lost a stone, 14 inches and got down to the size 10 I wanted to be for a long time. Without the help and support Lucy gave me I just wouldn’t have got there on my own. My confidence has grown and Lucy has taught me so much about what my body is actually capable of doing. If you are looking to get in to shape and have fun I would highly recommend Lucy and OneLife.

    *I can’t explain how depressed I felt about my weight before I came to you. After trying slimming world which did not work for me at all I had really given up & my eating was really out of control. I knew I had to do something and the rest is history as they say. I’m eating food in your food planners that I never thought I’d eat & what’s more the food is lovely. I lost over 2 stone in 12 weeks thanks to Lucy. I feel much happier, confident & have even started jogging which I never thought I’d be able to do.

In addition the sessions are ALWAYS structured and progress is effectively monitored and this is really important to me as I like to see progress made!   • Mel and I always have a laugh which is what makes it fun

    *I decided to get a Personal Trainer when I realised that even though I was spinning / running 3 times a week my heart was just not in it and I was bored.  I have never enjoyed exercise as much as when Mel turns up at my door, no 2 sessions are ever the same.  Whether it’s running through a field with a parachute attached to me, to circuits in my living room I love every minute of it. Mel is extremely motivating and although I work hard at every session, we always have a laugh which is what makes it fun. Personally I am pleased that Mel turned up on my doorstep, I couldn’t ask for a friendlier person to help me with my ongoing training. Thank you!

  • I look and feel healthier than I ever have before

    *Lucy has a very motivated attitude towards helping people to achieve their goals. Her group classes are a healthy mixture of fun and hard graft made up of people of mixed abilities to which Lucy can very easily adapt her sessions to. I felt I could achieve in an environment that supported me rather than hold me back or leave me behind. For once I felt motivated to exercise. The results I have achieved with Lucy, I have never come close to before. After 6 months I had achieved a massive 4 stone weight loss and I had dropped 2 jeans sizes!
